Problems and perspectives in the diagnosis of nodular goiter: based on clinical guidelines of the European Thyroid Association (2023)

Current approaches to diagnostics and treatment of thyroid nodules have come to some unfavourable trends, such asexcessive aggressiveness coupled with low efficacy and unjustified high cost. Therefore, there is a high need in revisionof the approaches to the management of this highly prevalent condition. This publication reviews the recently issuedEuropean Thyroid Association Clinical Practice Guidelines for thyroid nodule management (2023).
